About Jalex Trading

Jalex Trading is a professional money manager.  We create, operate and offer our clients performance-oriented alternative investments in an effort to help them meet their investment goals.

The Principals of Jalex Trading are Simcha Bluth and Randy Shell.  Collectively,  they have more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry. Here’s a brief synopsis of their areas of expertise:

Randy Shell

Mr. Shell entered the financial industry in 1981. Mr. Shell has considerable experience in market research, with a particular emphasis on the Market Profile method of analysis.   For more than 7 years, Mr. Shell utilized his expertise with the Market Profile on a daily basis by issuing real-time buy-and-sell recommendations to a host of international banks (Chase, Citibank, Bank of Zurich) trading houses (Phillips brothers, Euro-Domesticale) and brokerage firms (Merryl Lynch, Solomon Brothers, Dean Witter and PaineWebber).  Throughout the years, Mr. Shell has published newsletters and reports that focus on more advanced principals of Market Profile analysis.  Previously, Mr. Shell authored a syndicated newspaper column that addressed various aspects of personal finance and investment. 

In addition to his experience with the Market Profile, Mr. Shell has also conducted extensive research into the historical price tendencies of financial markets.

 Simcha Bluth

Mr. Bluth entered the financial industry in 1990.  For many years, Mr. Bluth has studied market activity with particular emphasis with regard to complex market strategies. Over the years, his expertise in these areas has been combined with an in-depth understanding of related price patterns in the underlying markets. With an eye towards ongoing client education and awareness, Mr. Bluth published newsletters / reports that addressed various aspects of personal finance and investments.

In 1996, he formed and operated a New York - based brokerage house.  The brokerage business expanded to seven branch office locations throughout the United States. As the Principal of the firm, Mr. Bluth directed all aspects of the company's operations including compliance,  broker supervision, new account opening, client services etc.

Although our firm and its Principals have extensive experience in many facets of investing and we make all types of investment information available to our clients (such as in the Investor Education section of our sister company Kesef Trading), our efforts are centrally focused on the creation of managed trading programs and products.

What Does Jalex Trading Do

To state it simply, Jalex Trading directs the trading activities (making the buy and sell decisions) for the benefit of our clients. Additionally, we serve our clients by creating and operating investment partnerships (a type of hedge fund).  These partnerships (typically limited liability companies) bring investors together for the purpose of investing in our trading programs.

Trading pursuant to our trading program, we employ our proprietary trading strategies in an effort to generate returns that are significantly higher than those of more traditional investments.  This often involves the use of leverage which can lead to significantly above average profits; however, it also leads to a significantly higher level of risk. 

Our Compensation
Jalex Trading is not a Broker.........Brokers make money by charging a commission when trades are executed.  We NEVER make money when trades are executed.  Instead, a substantial portion of the compensation we receive for our money management services is linked to the “new profits” our clients earn. To see an example of how the new profits calculation  works, click here. In order to receive these fees, our clients must continue to be profitable.
